BEST DRESSED: 18-11-12

18 Nov

It’s been a great week in the celebrity style stakes! Firstly Emma Stone was named Vogue’s best dressed, which is something that I totally agree with! She wowed at the Vogue/CFDA awards in what was personally my favourite look from Burberry Prorsum’s SS13 collection. (You can read more about the whole thing here.) With minimal styling, the dress really stood out and looked great on her!

Another stylista who never fails to knock it out of the park is Diane Kruger. This structural piece showed off her fantastic physique and the styling made it one of the best modern-minimal looks that I’ve seen. The dress is a Cushnie et Ochs design and was styled with a Vanessa Bruno jacket, Jimmy Choo shoes and a Jason Wu clutch.

Generally I feel like Rihanna’s style is a bit hit and miss, and I feel like she tries a little too hard to shock people. However in this dress she looks fantastic. Some may be reminiscing back to a classic bit of dialogue from the cult classic ‘Clueless’ when Cher comes down the stairs wearing this iconic dress in white; ‘What is that?’ ‘A dress’ ‘Says who?’ ‘Calvin Klein’. Francisco Costa has decided to relaunch the slip dress and thank god he did!

However, if there were an award for style this week, Kristin Stewart would win it hands down. She managed not 1,not 2 but 3 style smack-downs this week.  Love her or hate her, there is no denying that K-Stew has bags of style and this week has just proved that. My personal favourite was the nude lace design by Zuhair Murad that she wore to the LA première of Breaking Dawn: Part 2. In a close second however was the Zuhair Murad sequinned jumpsuit that she wore to the London première and the Jerome C. Rousseau dress and shoes that she wore for a Madrid photo call. I for one am sad that the Twilight films are over, but only because I want to see more great looks from this girl. However something tells me that we’ll be seeing much more of her over the years.

Is there someone who you think deserves to be up here this week that isn’t?
